I was born and raised in New Jersey. I come from a mixed ethnic background, primarily of Polish descent along with Czechoslovakian, German, Irish, and French Canadian. I grew up in a large family, always needing to fight to be heard. I also learned to be the helper to feel needed and belong in the family. As a result of being bullied as a young adolescent, I acted out and fought even harder to become my own person apart from everyone else. In my younger years, I struggled to manage my mental health and to show up as my best self in my relationships. My own journey toward healing and growing led me to become a therapist, where I now have the privilege of walking alongside others as they better understand themselves, heal from their wounds, and improve their relationships.
As a white, heterosexual, cisgender female, I am constantly working to be aware and vigilant of the privileges and power I hold in my identities. I am continuously learning about the ways in which the power I hold impacts others. As an ally, I am affirming of diverse and intersecting identities and I listen to and center marginalized voices. I use a Health at Every Size lens when working with body image and disordered eating concerns.
In my free time, I enjoy practicing yoga practice, being outside, and immersing myself in live music and stand-up comedy shows. I also love simply spending time at home with my partner and our fur baby, a German Wirehaired Pointer.
I attended California Lutheran University where I earned my Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology with an emphasis on Marriage and Family Therapy. I attended Rutgers University, Camden, for my undergraduate degree.
In my career, I have worked with two outpatient group practices. Before that, I was an in-home family therapist for the court-ordered program called Multi-Systemic Therapy. This program supported families of youth at risk of being placed outside of the home in detention centers or longer term behavioral management facilities. Prior to grad school, I worked with adults with developmental disabilities for the state of New Jersey as well as a community-based program in CA.

I am not paneled with any insurance company. My clients attend therapy on an out-of-network basis or pay for sessions out of pocket. If you would like to use your out-of-network benefits, please contact your insurance company prior to our first meeting. Ask what the out-of-network reimbursement would be for outpatient in-person or online psychotherapy. The specific amount of this reimbursement depends on your plan. I will provide you with the statements your insurance requires.
